to set up a short-iron
approach shot to a driver
to reach the green. Trouble
lies all around the green,
however. There’s water left
and sand right, making the
decision to go for it more
than a little scary.

The weekend crowds will
be huge surrounding the
171-yard, par 3 16th hole.
The tee shot is all-carry
over water to a shallow,
undulating green that’s
tough to hold and is
surrounded by sand. Any
long shots will find a swale
with very deep rough that
makes the sand traps
rather inviting. The 16th
plays slightly over par
every year.
