PGA TOUR professionals and The First Tee of Connecticut kids tee it up
on the new practice facility at TPC River Highlands

May, when inaugural shots were taken by Hunter
Mahan, defending champion of the Travelers
Championship, and Christopher Wall, a 17-year-old
junior at Wilby High School in Waterbury, Conn.,
who has been a member of The First Tee of
Connecticut for five years.

TOUR players. Preparation leads to success. We
want a facility that is going to allow us to play our

the golf course. From what I see, that is exactly what
this facility provides," said Mahan.
The state-of-the-art facility is made possible
through a partnership of Northeast Utilities/
Connecticut Light & Power, the Travelers
Championship, The First Tee of Connecticut and the
PGA TOUR. In addition, the project is supported
