ustin Rose captured the 2002 Dunhill
Championship on the European Tour at the
start of the season and then went on to win
the Nashua Masters title in South Africa and
the Crowns Tournament in Japan. He then
claimed the Victor Chandler British Masters after a
battle with friend Ian Poulter. In 2006, Rose recorded
a career-high five top-10s on the PGA TOUR and
earned $1,629,288, placing him at a career-best 47th
place on the TOUR money list. He finished T10 at
the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and his next top-10,
a T8, came at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Rose
won his first European Tour title in four years with
a two-stroke victory at the Australian Masters. Last
year, Rose set personal bests in earnings
($2,705,875) and top-10 finishes (7) after making 15
of 16 cuts. He also finished in the top 12 at all four
major championships and placed second on the
European Tour’s Order of Merit. Rose finished runner-up
to Tiger Woods at the World Golf
Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, his second
career runner-up finish on TOUR; his first was
at the 2006 Valero Texas Open.
