career, Tiger Woods has amassed numerous
awards and has broken countless scoring
and tournament records. Last year, he
proved again why he’s the world’s No. 1 player,
winning seven times en route to capturing the
inaugural FedExCup and Player of the Year honors.
He won his 13th career major at the PGA
Championship (second all-time to Jack Nicklaus'
18) and finished the year with a career total of
61 official PGA TOUR victories, which ranks fifth
all-time. Woods won his seventh career Vardon
Trophy and also captured the Byron Nelson
Award. His first victory of the year came in his
first start of the season at the Buick Invitational,
which was his seventh consecutive TOUR victory
dating back to the 2006 British Open. He later

earned a $10-million bonus for capturing the
FedExCup along with $1.26 million for winning
the event. His season earnings were a careerbest
$10,867,052. Woods’ best finishes at
Riviera were a second and a T2 in 1998 and
1999, respectively.
