Annika Sorenstam won the first event of
the 2008 LPGA Tour season and the 70th
of her career at the SBS Open at Turtle Bay. The
2003 World Golf Hall of Fame inductee has won

10 majors, eight Player of the Year awards, and
six Vare Trophies. In 2006, she surpassed $20
million in career earnings, becoming the first
LPGA player to hit that milestone.

Karrie Webb has won 35 LPGA Tour events,
including seven majors, and was named
the 1996 Rookie of the Year and the 1999 and
2000 Player of the Year. The World Golf Hall of
Fame member led the 2006 Michelob ULTRA
Open at Kingsmill tournament from start to
finish and set a tournament scoring record
with her total of 66-68-66-70=270 (-14) for
72 holes.
